St Giles Medical Rehabilitation Centre respects your privacy. This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you use this website, contact us, request an assessment, enquire about a partnership, make a donation, register for an event or otherwise interact with us.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, enquiry details, appointment preferences and information you voluntarily provide about a patient or service need. Assessment requests may include health, disability or treatment information. We may also receive basic technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, pages visited and cookie data.

How we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange assessments, provide rehabilitation and related services, manage partnerships and donations, administer events, improve our website, maintain security, keep appropriate records and meet our legal and professional obligations.

Health and other sensitive information

Health information is sensitive personal information. Please only submit information that is relevant to the request and that you are authorised to provide. We restrict access to staff and service providers who need it for legitimate operational or care-related purposes.

Who receives information

Website enquiries may be routed to appropriate St Giles teams, including administration, marketing and service-assessment staff. We may use trusted providers for website hosting, forms, email, analytics, communications, payments or event administration. We do not sell personal information.

Lawful processing and retention

We process information with consent, to respond to a request or provide a service, to comply with legal obligations, and where necessary for legitimate organisational purposes that do not override your rights. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, applicable healthcare or organisational recordkeeping, dispute resolution, security and legal requirements.

Cookies and international services

Some providers may process data outside Zimbabwe. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards. See our Cookie Policy for more information.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or request deletion where retention is not required. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children and information about another person

A parent, guardian or authorised representative may submit information for a child or another person. By doing so, you confirm that you have authority to provide it.

Security and complaints

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service is completely risk-free. To exercise your rights, raise a concern, or ask a privacy question, contact us or email admin@stgiles.org.zw. You may also contact the Data Protection Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ).
